The number of people receiving subsistence benefits from the state has increased by about 18%.
According to the Social Services Agency, in March 2021 the number of recipients of subsistence allowance (extremely poor) increased by 83,296 people compared to the same period last year. According to statistics, in March 2020 the number of recipients of subsistence allowance was 458,468, and in March 2021 – 541,764, which is 14.5% of the population. The number of people registered in the database of the Social Service Agency – those who think they are poor and need help – has exceeded one million. More specifically, in March 2020, the number of such people was 922,247, and today, there are 1,033,051 people registered in the database.
