Experts are unanimous: current processes have the hardest impact on the national economies and also on the globalized world economy, but the problem is not just the economy. Much more important is the human aspect of the globalization, which as it is obvious to all, is changing cardinally – dying.
The idea of a transparent world in which anyone can relocate and settle in their desired place (temporarily or permanently) is one of the values of modern civilization that has been very successfully embedded in our lives. Any exceptions for years have been regarded as an evidence of “barbarism and tyranny” of the respective countries.
The idea that anyone can live, work or rest anywhere on the planet, wherever they wish, has practically embraced all of humanity. The habits and aspirations that emerge on this basis cease to exist today. Jobs are being canceled, life plans are changing, people are losing financially. It happens in any country, no matter where it is in the ranking of democracy and freedom. What’s more: The fact is that the US has led a “stay home, use only native” movement that kills the hope that everything will change as soon as the pandemic force majeure is over and return to its place.
Today’s events are a more preliminary warning that this is just the beginning, then everything will be more serious.
