The National Democratic Institute (NDI) presented the results of the public opinion survey. According to the survey, the majority of respondents label air pollution as the main ecological problem (57%).
44% of respondents name food safety as a problem, 40% – the presence of hazardous substances (in air, food, toys, etc.), pollution of drinking water – 18%, contamination of rivers, lakes and reservoirs – 16%, etc.
The NationalDemocratic Institute conducted survey field work throughout Georgia during 6-20 December and interviewed 2 205 people on the basis of representative sampling in face-to-face interview. The margin of error is 2.1%.
