The current defense minister of Germany (physician by education) Ursula von der Layen. who is a candidate for taking the position of the EC Chairperson, (to replace Jean-Claude Urkens), in her speech in the European Parliament on July 10, called the EU Member States to conduct dialog with Russia from the “position of strength” and noted that she supports not the European Army ”but the “:Army of Europeans”
This madam, mother of 7 children, ex-minister of at first the Family Affairs and then Labor and Social Affairs of Germany, and currently the head of Bundeswehr (Military Forces of Germany) as seen is in short of time read the history textbook or failed to learn , or forgot, how the conversation with Russia from a “position of strength” ended for Germany 80 years ago, how the WWII started by Germans in 1939 ended, in which 62 states from 73 existing in the world in that times, were participating and in which over 60millions died, including 7,1 million Germans and over 300 thousand Georgians.
Or, how ended Napoleon attacks of the French Napoleon Bonaparte’s armies on Russia in 1812 where Georgian General were participating ( in the 1812 war; Petre Bagrationi, Panchulidze brothers, Iashvili brothers, etc., in 1941-1945 – Leselidze, Kakuchia, Beria, Stalin . . ). Till Berlin and Paris they were chasing the enemy, who spoke with Russia from the “position of strength”/. By the way, just Russians cause the greatest damage to Napoleon near the German city Leipzig (1813) while on 9th May 1945, Georgian Meliton Kantaria and Russian Mikhail Egorov erected a flag of victory over the Reichstag in Berlin, capital city of madam Ursula
In this statement of Mrs. Ursula von der Layen it is seen clearly the EC’s striving to a new confrontation with Russia where the “Democratic west” needs Georgia as a military polygon while Georgians a Barley meat in this confrontation
No need to be a great analyst to understand how this West-Russia confrontation will be ended if our country is turned into the polygon of military operations. Therefore, it is high time to act according to a common sense, stop p dancing on the music of our “strategic partners” and decide our fate according to our own interests and needs, not of others’ ones.
